The love of great music all began in our living room in the early 70′s. Our father and mother would make us listen to the sounds of their old records playing tunes from Sarah Vaughn, Sam and Dave, Sam Cooke, Brook Benton and yes, even Creedance Clearwater. We instantly fell in love with those now oldies, but goodies.
My dad and mother used to say, “You don’t know good music like I know good music” and they were right! By the time we turned five years old, songs from Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye began to ring in our ears and in our souls. We grew up taking fine arts such as ballet, jazz, and tap dancing to the sweet melodies of this type of music.
